PRODUCT SPEC:
Well known, lovable Rabari hand embroidery and appliqué work all round using hand dyed colourful cotton yarn and upcycled cotton fabric. Black cotton facade with handblock printed cotton lining, tassle fastening, one shoulder strap.

THE STORY:
The most beautiful and well known embroidery technique by the Rabari women defined by its use of mirrors and the chain stitch method in bright bold and earthy tones.
Appliqué Patchwork and appliqué traditions exist among most communities. For many embroidery styles, master craftwork depends on keen eyesight. By middle age, women can no longer see as well and they naturally turn their skills and repertoire of patterns to patchwork, a tradition that was originally devised to make use of old fabrics.
Sarjaniben has been part of Kala Raksha who has played a crucial role in providing knowledge and skills directly relevant to the artisan’s traditional art, while honouring and strengthening her tradition.

International shipping starts from £15 for a tracked and signed service, however this may vary.
